Members of the Tônau ensemble, Daniel Davies and Nicola Thomas, two highly accomplished cellists based in Pembrokeshire, present an engaging and uplifting performance of music for two cellos. With music from the 1700s through to the present day, including a work by a Welsh composer.
The concert will be an informal and enjoyable event, with a cream tea in the interval.
Nicola studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and Drama and with William Pleeth and Jacqueline Du Pre. She is currently a professor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Nicola has toured internationally and has an extensive career as a chamber musician.
Daniel studied with Leonid Gorokhov at the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School and privately with Nicola. He also took classes from Janos Starker. He has held numerous teaching positions across the UK and Wales before establishing Music at Nantwen in 2015.
